Bricoleurs make art installations using bottles, cement, tires, hay bales and anything they can find. These visionary art environments can be found out in the open space, in peoples’ backyards, in the middle of the city or surrounded by nature. We visit several American bricoleurs who create big artistic landscapes using only their hands and simple tools, despite lack of money, time and support. The bricoleurs shape these objects into a vivid and interior language. The film is an ode to fantasy in a lesser known America.
